Stableyard Apartment: Drumlanrig Castle

Beautiful setting , The apartment was Immaculate and well equipped. The only 1small niggle was none of the three clocks worked ,proparbly needed new batteries. But I recommend going as the castle if magnificent .

The beautiful setting in the grounds of the castle. Outstanding apartment. Clean, modern, luxurious with a high quality decor. Everything you need. There was wine, chocolates, and whisky marmalade for us on arrival, which was a lovely gesture.

The boiler wasn't working on the last day, which meant a cold shower and boiling kettles to wash dishes. The information pack as to the location of the boiler needs updating. It stated that the boiler was in the kitchen when, in fact, it was in one of the bedrooms. If my husband wasn't so handy, we would have had a problem restarting it. It took three quarters of an hour to sort and then another hour for the water to heat up. It was too late for us to wait. I have contacted the apartment team, and they have assured me that they will update the information and apologised for the inconvenience.

Great location with some fantastic walks. The apartment was lovely , clean and comfortable.
