Eagles Land

Well appointed. Comfortable. Great value, clean. Area felt safe. Easy bus into Edinburgh . Quiet

As a solo female traveler. I was a bit put off by change of address through communication . But it turned out fine. Two flights of stairs up .. and on street parking .

Lots of space, kitchen was fully equipped. Not far from the city centre and the facilities in the area were also very good (shops and café's were walking distance, 5 mins with a car and you were at a Tesco and gas station). Heating works well, as well as the warm/hot water. Owner provided us with ample towels and bathroom necessities, but we brought our own so didn't make much use out of it other than to keep the bathroom floor dry.

Bathroom felt quite rushed. Towel rack and toiletpaperrollholder came off the walls on the 2nd/3rd night (epoxied on). The toilet brush was also broken. Glass shower wall wasn't finished off with a rubber strip on the bottom, which meant that the water ran under it while showering, soaking the entire floor. Window in bathroom was foggy, but still it felt uncomfortable showering in front of a "bare" window. Washing machine is a nice plus, but you can't dry your clothes anywhere (no dryer or drying rack). Could only do a small wash and hang it throughout the apartment on the heating to air dry. Furthermore, there were nails sticking out of the carpet in the bedroom, which my partner stepped on and nearly hurt his foot on. Couldn't find a way to contact the owner (no # or anything) to report it, so sadly we have to through the review.

I booked Eagles Land at another location. The one I got was 8 miles away from the one I have booked, no city view, 35min away from the city by bus. When I choose a location, I want this and not another one far away. The address on booking.com should be a real one not a fake and telling later the real address. Even the fotos for Eagles Land haven't shown the situation in the appartement I got, at least 2 pictures (living room and sleeping room) where from another place. The other comments I fully agree with.

Very spacious & clean flat and good value for money.

We found this to be the only place we could afford as Taylor Swift was in town when we stayed. The bed was comfortable, but there was nothing else to like - the place is a tip. It seems the owner has tried to make artistic embellishments on the cheap - it has not worked and the effect is simply bizarre. We stayed the first night and then moved to a hotel.

Everything. Particularly the uncertainty about the actual location - the address changed after we had booked! The instructions for obtaining the keys were very confusing. A sign in the bathroom was very unfriendly.

Breakfast was not provided and we didn’t expect it to be. Although did not like flat, location was good as easy to get into the city by bus.

Apartment was very shabby especially toilet, not at all what we expected. Did not use shower as cubicle very small. Would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone!
