It was quiet

Apartment looked like someone's home, letter in post box washing in basket. No central working heating only room heaters on extension leads, a lot of electrical equipment in the extension leads.. I booked for 2 nights arrived around 11pm on first night the communal staircase was like something off trainspotting with the stink of weed, water I hope on the floor very dark and dingy. After opening door my partner said she did not want to stay but as it was so late we did. I booked hotel for next night and vacated 1st thing in morning. The bed was comfortable which along with it being quiet was the only good thing about property. There was duck tape around the bedroom wall to make some kind of border which wasn't even straight and what looked like parcel tape on the bathroom walls as some kind of decoration. Honestly I laughed it was so bad. The shower was a cubicle in the bedroom beside which looked like open drainage pipe covered by a brush Although property was cheap I have stayed in hotels cheaper which were a lot nicer. How it was give a 7 out of 10 on booking.com is beyond me.

It was only a short 3 min walk from the bus stop so very convenient if you do not have a car.

There was no laundry soap

It had all the facilities you need. Comfortable bed, pillows, and lounge area. Good kitchen facilities. Closeness to public transport.

The shower head would not stay in place making washing my hair a challenge.

Accommodation was lovely and clean on arrival with everything we needed for a long weekend. We packed towels as we got caught short on a previous trip and had to buy some but there were plenty provided.

The decor was very eclectic which I liked. However the presentation could have been better. There were random pieces of wallpaper and vinyl stuck to walls in random places which detracted from the overall beauty of the apartment.

Location by the beach and a 25 minute journey to Prince’s st. It is the most quirky place. The decorations are hilarious! Kitted out in the most quality items one can source from Poundland. The place is clean, has facilities to launder and cook, decent size fridge freezer, comfy sofas and a selection of dvds. It has more towels than you could use in a month. Really good heating facilities.

The bed was a bit iffy (slats underneath will move and slip) and the sheets weren’t the greatest, but we still slept well. The shower in the bedroom labelled bathroom made me smile cos of it being a bit tacky, but the water is hot and powerful.

The place was extremely clean and well maintained. The location is perfect if you own a car, near the beach walk and 20 minutes to city center. The host is great, responds very quickly and resolved one of our issues there with noise and disturbance the very next day and no issue faced after then. I will definitely stay there again.

The building is bit old and scary on first impression, but the next morning it's all the same. Bathroom bit small but on budget it should be overlooked.

We loved everything. This flat definitely has character. It’s quirky, warm and cozy. It feels like home. Although at first the building seemed strange & somehow scary, everything is actually quiet & the neighbours really nice. I am sure we were the loudest flat with our 7yo running up and down. It’s literally one bus away from the heart of the city. The bus stop is right next to the flat & you are in central Edinburgh in less than 20’. Supermarket is a 5’ walk & McDonald’s in 2’. You can cook, relax, watch tv & films (great selection of DVDs & VHS) if you decide to stay in. This place is perfect for families on a budget. Much appreciated. Value for money & we will definitely be returning. Thank you Patricia!

The mould. The smell of damp The smell of stale smoke. Not being able to stay due to being asthmatic and mould and damp creating breathing difficulties. Can't answer if beds were comfortable because didn't stay long enough to find out.
