Decor, couches, bathroom, shower. Entrance constantly stunk of cannabis

We had a great 5 night stay in this quirky flat. Everything was better than anticipated, bleak looking building but it felt safe enough once inside. Easy parking nearby, felt safe parking outside McD's. On No 1 bus route, stops just to the side of the block. Very quiet flat , clean and tidy. Internet and TV, comfortable sofas. Good hot shower. Comfortable bed. Towels ++. Welcoming ambiance on arrival. Easy and pleasant walk into Leith via raised walkway & park. Good size freezer and fridge. We didn't use it but washer / dryer was a bonus.

Lack of catering equipment, spatulas, desert dishes., lap trays.. We like to cook, but we managed. TV's small, ancient and whistles ..but it's good enough. Nowhere to stand toiletries in washroom/ toilet...a shelfs needed ? Hated shady window in lounge, light blocked by tree that desperately needs pruning back. A lamp or two in the lounge would be great on an evening.. All above were minor niggles, we had a great stay by adapting things as needed.

Good bus location into town very useful. Facilities adequate.

No real parking, street parking always a bit suspect. Bit out of the way, but with good bus service not too bad.

The place is accessible to buses/bus stops and only 30 mins away from the center. It is near to Mcdonalds, shell and farmfood. There are utensils that you can use and other cooking stuff so that is a plus especially to us who are budget travellers.

The building looks a bit creepy at first when you get inside but then it was fine. One thing that bothers us was the smell of ?smoke when you get inside the house probably from the carpet. The light from the ceiling inside the bedroom wasn't working properly as well. But overall we are satisfied and we get what our money's worth.

We were very happy with everything and the place was fair for this amount of money. The pictures tell you exactly how the place looks. Very quiet neighbourhood, bus stops right around the corner (we used it every day), bed was reasonable and everything looked very clean. Kitchen and living room area are very nice, but we did not use that space, only toilet and bedroom. Shower is in the bedroom and not connected with the toilet, never seen this before but it was not a problem in any way. There are some vivid decorations that tell us that the owner want's the guests to feel like home :)

We would like to recommend that a wine bottle opener would be a part of the kitchen utilities.

Nice unit, quirky and interesting. Good value for money. Indoor washing machine a great asset. Property next to Bus stop around the corner, less than 3 minute walk, bus takes you into the heart of Edinburgh. Also right next door is Arnold Clark car rental depot making it ideal location to pick up or drop off car.

One unpleasant feature is the smell or odour coming from inside the building and pervades the unit. This should be addressed by owner or building management. The odour is noticeable upon entering the stairwell. Very unwelcome and needs to be addressed to attract potential travellers. Would rate higher if this was addressed.

It was a full flat which had all you need. There was plenty of room. It was totally self catering. It was clean and tidy.

Toilet paper should have been supplied. The carpet was old to the point of having an odour.

No cereal/ soup bowls, very low furniture difficult for older people, Decor of stickers everywhere Cant make a silk purse….

Did not find the place ever after driving around for one and half hours with the taxi driver and he is born and bred in edinburgh.
