Walkers Retreat with garden and views

Everything! the apartment was exceptional! Sam the host was so welcoming and made sure we were comfortable. The grounds and location were out of this world. The perfect get away. Many thanks.

We had an incredible three-night stay at Walkers Retreat. The flat was very comfortable, warm, and well-supplied - it had everything we needed. It was spotless, and the bed was very comfortable. The hosts, Samantha and Alex, were fantastic! The location couldn't have been better, and there were several leaflets and guides in the flat to help us plan some outings in detail. The view was gorgeous! The Holne community shop kept us well-supplied with food (the sweet chilli peanuts were a highlight!), and the pub's food is outstanding, though I highly recommend checking their opening days and times in advance. The property is also perfectly located, it allowed us to visit most of the highlights of Dartmoor. We even experienced three days of perfect, sunny weather - a miracle!

We only wish we could have stayed longer! We even miss the narrow roads, as everyone we drove past was so nice and patient!

De cottage zelf was echt perfect en wat een uitzicht als je wakker wordt 😍 Alles mooi schoon en tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Erg gastvrij ontvangen. Wij hebben iedere dag een wandeling gemaakt (waar we ook voor kwamen)

eine sehr gemütliche Unterkunft, genau richtig zu zweit. Ringsherum wunderbare Natur und himmlische Ruhe. Liebevolle und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Our third stay now and we still love it. The location is fab, stunning views and peaceful surroundings. Bed is super comfy and huge, we always sleep well. The accommodation has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

It's hard to think of anything but perhaps an upgrade of the TV to a smart tv as the film we watched on analogue tv in the evening was interrupted by poor signal. Like I say....I'm nitpicking here, the place is fab!

Wonderful location perfect for Dartmoor, and close enough to great beaches and Devon coastal path to enjoy a varied holiday. Perfect for rest days in a glorious garden too!

It was a bit small for 2 of us and 3 medium dogs but we managed and we are pleased that they accommodated us all as it’s hard to find somewhere that will allow 3 dogs, and the garden space more than made up for it!
