Sofa bit old fashioned and could be comfier. Lounge feels slightly dark.

Quiet location a very short walk from local pub and community shop. The self contained one bedroomed apartment had all the facilities one could need. Great for exploring the moors and the local villages.

Probably depends on your network, but little signal. The wifi was intermittent so one was forced to switch off and read,which was a nice change.

This is a very comfortable property, with lots of considerate touches for guests. Ideally, set up for walkers or if you simply want to unwind in beautiful surroundings. Returning to Dartmoor, after a forty year odd absence, we recreated some of our DofE Award experiences by walking the Dart Valley with Newbridge close by and Dr Blackall's drive offering superb views. Castle Drogo was also an enjoyable visit. On the one rainy day, we were able to relax with telly, books, dvds, and a strong WiFi signal. All in all, it was a first-class experience.

We liked all of it. Allow yourself more time between destinations, as Dartmoor is full of 'roads' of varying widths (even A roads!) blind corners and stone walls, requiring a lot of concentration from the driver :-) The locals seem to speed up through the narrow bits, all the time hoping that no one is coming the other way!
