Edinburgh City Luxury Apartment Spectrum

Apartment was on a quiet cul-de-sac. Comfortable furnishings. Very good service from owner - left my passport behind when we left, he has now sent it back.

Needed a make-over - missing or damaged cupboard doors in kitchen, small holes in walls. Also needed extra cleaning, mould around edge of bath. Shower in en-suite bathroom not working properly - no hot water. Dirty toilet brush in en-suite bathroom made it a bit smelly.

Owner insisted on 100 pounds deposit, either cash or on his bank account at least 5 days in advance. Because I didn't want anything to do with private accounts outside booking, I decided to give cash deposit. Usually, when you give cash deposit, you expect to be given back upon exiting. But owner insisted to give it back to me by bank transfer, which would deduce 10% for the fee?!!! So he knew in advance that bank would take away 10 percent of deposit, but insisted on the worst way of money transfer (he could use PayPal, my bank account, or just to give me back cash) So I just gave him cash, and that fee accounted as unpredicted expenses. And on top of that, he found one broken glass, which he valued 4 pounds. Just to resume: for 14 pounds he made me feel uncomfortable, not welcome, and so annoyed that I had to write such a long negative review. Sorry guys, but if you decide to take that apartment, jut walk on your tiptoes and pray that you don't break something, and add 10 pounds to the original price.
