"Would not stay here again unfortunately."

4.0

The kitchen and bedrooms were a good size. It was thoughtful of the owners to leave ice in the freezer and sachets of milk in the fridge.

The back yard was very small and unkempt. To the back of the property was a clinic which had a homeless person sleeping in the doorway. To the side of the property was a car park and patch of grass which had a tent and chairs where a couple of homeless people slept. The people living/staying there were really noisy until very late at night. The living room was very small and had been made to look a lot larger in the photographs. There was also a musty/foisty smell - which we think was damp so we didn’t even sit in there once. We even left the living room door propped open but couldn’t get rid of the smell. There were a number of areas in the property that had large damp patches - the biggest being in the kitchen but we didn’t feel safe enough to leave the kitchen door open unless we were sat there. The property was tidy but had not been properly cleaned. The sheets had the same musty/foisty smell to them. Also, one of our party dropped her car key down the back of the unit on the ground floor at the bottom of the stairs. When we moved the unit to retrieve them, there was popcorn and other items underneath that had been there a long time and were covered by a thick layer of dust. The property was in a good location for the city centre but was on an extremely busy, noisy road that even with the windows closed disturbed our sleep. I’m not sure if this could be changed but the configuration of the property was strange. The main bathroom was on the first floor alongside a bedroom with an en-suite. On the second floor were two bedrooms, one en-suite and one not. This meant that whoever slept in the bedroom without the en-suite had to tackle a large flight of stairs down to the main bathroom which isn’t ideal in the middle of the night. It would have worked better having both bedrooms on the second floor as en-suite rooms. This is easily achievable as the bedrooms are all large.

"Practical for a large group and short stay :)"

7.0

Perfect for a larger group - very spacious! Fab location!!

Felt generally quite unclean and smelt old/musty. Not the best value for money due to its cleanliness. The dishwasher was also full when we arrived.

"Good place for a short city break"

8.0

It was close to the town which is what was required and I liked having the small outside area where we spent most of our time. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of utensils. Ideal for our family gathering.

Sleeping in the front first floor room would have been improved with some proper black out blinds or curtains. Although the key was easy to find on arrival we struggled to find the right door, this could be better explained and it would have been useful to have a second key.

Lovely spacious accommodation. Appealing interior decoration. Really good access to city

Near a road, noisy at night. Be prepared with eye masks for light and ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper

"Large and spacious house in very convenient location"

9.0

Fantastic location, in the centre of Chester. Large spacious rooms. Ample heating and hot water. 3 bathrooms. Well-equipped kitchen. Sturdy travel cot. 1 parking space outside and pay car park almost next door. Easy access by keybox.

Some noise from main road but we expected that.
