Monterey Residence - Stunning, Duplex Apartment in the Heart of Kendal

Loved the layout and set up beds very comfy Very helpful when needed a early check in

Very warm tried to turn heating down but didn’t work maybe have some instructions available to control heating Tea and coffee available but would of been nice to have some milk too

Contemporary apartment situated on the High Street. Spacious and all the amenities required for a stay. The heated floor in the bathroom.

Car parking needs to be thought out as it is only free after a certain time and there's no guarantee of finding somewhere. Steep steps to get to the flat and the door to the street wasn't locked throughout the duration of our stay. Hallway could do with a touch up (cleaning stairs)

Unfortunately after arriving at property, didn't stay. If you are claustrophobic, this isn't the place for you. The bedrooms are in eves and ceiling isn't too much higher than the bed, particularly in one room. Contacted the host who wouldn't offer an even part refund. Disappointing considering the property wouldn't need to be cleaned before being relet. The parking cost is higher than advertised.

The flat was two floors up and the bedrooms to the flat were three floors up in the attic. There was no fire escape. The smoke alarm on the top floor sleeping area had been removed and there were none on that floor. There were no fire extinguishers or blankets. No wifi. Hardly any utensils in the kitchen. The only exit door on the ground floor was obstructed by bags of dirty laundry. The fire alarm box near the ground floor exit was broken. We did not feel safe and slept in our vehicles. We have raised the issue and the owner of this property has not addressed anything we have raised. We are reporting the property to the Local council in Kendal and have already reported it to the Fire department. We have raised the issue directly with booking.com and they have done nothing to address our issues either. We have videos and photos to prove our issues.

1. Spacious and good quality modern furniture & fixtures. Comfortable good size double beds. 2. Fully equipped self-catering kitchen with cleaning products provided. 3. Easily controllable heating/cooling and effective. 4. Immaculately clean. 5. Key code separate external and internal apartment access which gave a high level of security and flexible checking in time. CCTV monitoring. Automatically activated lighting on entry to the staircase leading to our first floor apartment. 6. Very quick, friendly tone and informative location and access communications by the host. He even gave a post code to the car park which was most helpful. 7. Spacious public car park right behind the apartment complex. Car parking App allows you to pre pay for required period avoiding over stay penalties! 6pm to 8am is free.

These are not criticisms but observations. 1. The first floor apartment staircase is two flights and quite narrow. It has handrails but be aware may not be suitable for mobility restricted people. 2. Whilst tea bags are complimentary it would have been nice to have had coffee sachets and milk pods too.

Easily found, central location and very spacious for four.
