Gorgeous Morden property. Absolutely loved it . Comfy beds.

Close to restaurants, bars and pubs z it was only 20 min drive from Windmere . Also had parking that was not too expensive.

Pros Easy to find, good location in town and car park close by. Decent size. Lots of space for suitcases etc. Big bed in master room. Fans in the bedroom appreciated. Plenty of sockets. Quick response from host when messaging.

The main issue that let this accommodation down was the cleanliness. I understand it must be a challenge to have to turn an entire apartment around for the next guests but it really really took the shine off what could have been a perfect stay. Dust on all skirting, ledges, sockets, lampshades etc. Hob hadn't been cleaned. Kitchen drawers full of crumbs and cupboards need wiping out. Only enough cutlery and crockery for 4 people. The bar stools all had food and crumbs all over them. The windows are absolutely filthy to the point when the sun is on them you basically cant see out, and the top part of the windows were all full of dead flies. Carpets hadn't been hoovered. Bathroom had hairs in the shower, toothpaste up the wall by the sink, what looked like sick all down the front of the toilet. Really bad smell of drains. The walls are absolutely filthy. Lots of marks from luggage which I imagine is frustrating but also just dirty handprints and grime. We've 3 little kids, I know they get handprints on everything but that is a huge build up of dirt. The master bedroom blind is completely useless and as such the children were awake as soon as the sun came up. The second bedroom is not accurately depicted in the photos. The ceiling is so low it would be very uncomfortable as an adult to sleep in there. WiFi wasn't working at all, we managed to log onto the apartment below luckily. The common areas also are filthy, carpet up the main stairs really needs cleaning and again the walls are really disgusting. We really didn't like the tone of the email that we received before arrival with the threats of extra charges for unexpected guests. They definitely need to reword that. Unnecessarily aggressive. It's really such a shame because for a family it is a really decent apartment but I dont want to stay somewhere where I feel like I dont want the kids touching things or sitting on the floor because its so dirty. Please just get a decent cleaning team in.

Location was great. Comfortable beds.

When we arrived we the property i found the floor dirty. I made contact with the owner who quickly got the cleaner to return to sort. However the property was so run down with marks all over the walls, dirty windows, cobwebs from the ceiling, chips of plaster away from the corner of walls. The tv didn’t work. Tried to tune in channels but didn’t seem to tune. Shower was great but did the job for the 2 night stay.
