Monterey Residence - Stunning, Duplex Apartment in the Heart of Kendal

The apartment was warm, very clean and comfortable. Right in the centre of town close to all amenities. Communication was effective at all stages of the process. Would recommend this apartment.

We had an issue with the access as there was a high first step to the main door and on entering a step set of stairs and a second set of stairs up to the apartment. Other than that if your OK with stairs it's an ideal apartment.

Clean and well appointed flat. Up two flights of stairs and some low ceilings in the bedroom but hosts were able to provide a cot and a high chair for our little one and we enjoyed the living room space.

While washing up supplies were available there was no tea/coffee/milk which would have been really nice touch as we were only staying one night and didn’t want to buy whole packets.

Very clean and modern

A few extra touches like t towel in the kitchen and hand towels and hand wash would have been appreciated. Biggest issue was the number and steepness of the stairs up to and in the property and the fact that the bathroom is not on the same level as the bedrooms. Meant one of us whose mobility was limited had to sleep on the sofa. This needs to be made clear on the description of the property .

Location is fantastic, right in the heart of Kendal. Even though it's on the main street it was quiet. Lots of comfortable beds. Large open plan space to socialise.

No hand soap, or tea bags! The electronic locking system malfunctioned but luckily the hosts were fast to respond.

It was clean and comfy and close to parking. And we particularly liked the underfloor heating in the bathroom! It’s of course in a gorgeous location that’s very convenient to get to the Lakes. The owner/manager was fantastic. I left some medicines there by accident and they went out of their way, at no personal gain for them other than looking after a client, to help get a courier to bring them all the way to Aberdeenshire to the place we are staying on holiday. I was so bowled over by the swift response, kindness and can- do attitude. It was above and beyond.

Lots of stairs but they do warn you about that!

Really nicely decorated and has everything you need. Underfloor heating in bathroom. Ability to set the temperature you want for the flat.

Nothing really negative, just a couple of soap dispensers and some kitchen roll wouldn't go amiss.

The house was small and cosy and clean. Very well kept and nicely decorated. Mattress is very comfortable and we had a good night sleep. Bathroom exceptionally clean.

Instruction manual for the cooker would have been useful as we didn't know how to use it. 3 towels were left for 5 guests. Shower water pressure is low Direction to get to the car park is very confusing and instructions given weren't very clear. I called the manager to clarify the directions and he hung up saying that he would call back, but he never did! We managed to find our own way
