Monterey Residence - Stunning, Duplex Apartment in the Heart of Kendal

We thought that apartment was lovely. It was large and comfortable. The kitchen had all the facilities that anyone would need. It was located smack bang in the centre of Kendal so very easy for all amenities including the train station and an ideal place for us to stay close to family.

Initial contact (on booking) with owner/manager was non existent, despite me emailing and phoning the mobile number we had and asking for a return call. So for several weeks we were not sure that our booking had been confirmed (other than by Booking.com). The first contact was just a couple of days before our arrival with door codes, directions etc. Once inside the apartment there were no instructions for use of equipment - particularly the heating and TV. So we spent our time, when in the apartment, cold and without being able to watch the enormous TV. I would implore you to put some instructions for the correct use of equipment in a prominent place in the apartment. In addition, what looked like a lovely bathroom had a shower that was not able to be adjusted because it was broken, and the loo had a broken flushing mechanism. A shame ! Great under floor heating though

Very clean, warm and comfortable. Central location, easy to find, flat door code to get in was a bit of a faff however the owner got back very promptly.

I was really quite offended by the email prior to our visit, suggesting that we weren’t going to be 3 as booked and that additional payments would be needed. Also that we would be monitored by CCTV. Instead could I suggest they offer a welcome to their guests that makes them feel valued. A welcome note, information about the local area, some make a token gesture of a pint of milk and a biscuit. It is a really nice flat and is in a great location.
