"Superb"

9.0

Beautiful views towards Cornwall and the Cremyl Ferry, very comfortable beds and well equipped. Close to the restaurants in Royal William Yard and lovely walks towards the Barbican - plus an easily accessible parking space! An excellent place to stay in Plymouth.

The flat is on the top floor - but it does mean it has spectacular views!

"Quirky and comfy appartment near ferry terminals, great location!"

8.0

Location is great as you have the Royal William Yard and ferry terminal around the corner, also shops etc are close by. Beds are comfy.

Appartment is on the top floor (3rd / 4th) so don’t have too much luggage; also sqm used in the description don’t add up to the size of the property; there is mold forming in the bathroom, so that needs taken care of.

"Lovely view from the property."

7.0

The property had a lovely view of Royal Williams Yard and the boats around the area. Location is great for the restaurants etc located in Royal Williams Yard. Kitchen was well equipped, Tea and coffee with a few small long life cartons of milk provided.

Entry into the property is not accessible from the carport due to a broken keypad, which makes arrival a bit more difficult than it needs to be. No toiletries in the property although listed as ‘free toiletries’ so we had to go out and purchase these on arrival. Would have brought them with us if this was not listed. No breakfast items provided as we have had at all other properties we have stayed at in Plymouth (visit at least twice per year). Just so others can be prepared.

"Gem for short break!"

10.0

Prime location in quiet area close to Royal William Yard. Bus stop 2 min walk away to take you into town/ walkable distance to barbican and the hoe and only 3.50 return. Aware of the six flight of stairs which we found more than manageable. Issue with rear entrance door was dealt with very swiftly. All the amenities of high quality and working well. Mattress and linen crisp and white. Fab views of williams yard harbour. Cremyll Ferry literally 2 mins walk away. Great places to eat and drink in very walkable distance from the flat. Will def be returning! Absolutely great value for money!!!

Couple of loose slats on upper staircase to the flat. One parking space and as two bedrooms if two couples visit will need to try and park in free carpark just down the road.

"Well designed and appointed!"

9.0

Excellent facilities including fridge, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, oven, TV etc. Great views across the Tamar and comfortable seating and bed! Full marks!

Difficult access to Flat 5 where the door led immediately onto the stairs. We were OK but for infirmed or really 'old folk' it would be an excessive climb, carrying travel bags, after several flights of stairs to the Flat 5 door. Considering the profusion of glasses, cups, plates and cooking equipment it was very disappointing when we had a meal for 2 in the flat that there were only one fork, one knife and 2 teaspoons. The cutlery was an oversight which was a bit of a spoiler. Saying all of that We enjoyed our stay but it would have been perfect without the oversights!

"Great view and location, shame about poor maintenance, access description and hygiene standards"

4.0

The location was ideal to navigate Plymouth and have Royal William Yard on your doorstep. We could walk to a range of places for breakfast and quickly drive to where we needed to visit in and around the city. Response from manager was quick when reporting poor cleaning, unreported damage and dishwasher not emptied.

Access to the property was not great as we were messaged shortly before arrival that rear access from the car park was not working due to the keypad, looking at previous reviews this has been out of action for quite a while. Fortunately we arranged our clothes in hand luggage as it is a walk around the block to the front door which has no drop off parking at anytime as it is directly opposite the Marine Barracks entrance with an armed guard. The property description should warn of the narrow, steep 6 flights of stairs to get in to the apartment that are not in the best condition, especially at the top. Although comfortable, we were disappointed with the level of cleaning eg dishwasher not emptied, stains on sofa arms and dining table, mould and missing grout in bathroom as well as feathers and dust under the main bed.

"Helpful friendly hosts, modern & clean flat with good facilites, good location but noisy at night."

7.0

The hosts were friendly and helpful. The flat was modern, clean and as advertised with good facilities. One of the beds in particular was super comfy. The property was in a good location to visit local attractions.

The first night we had no sleep at all. The traffic was very loud at the front plus the seagulls made noises throughout the night. At 6am we could hear the people in the flat above walking around. The worse thing however was the noise from around the back that first night. At around 3am dogs started barking like mad, people shouting and a police siren. It felt a bit scary. The next morning a Police car was outside next door for quite some time. Obviously something had happened that night. When we went downstairs the next morning the main back door entrance was open/unlocked which made me feel nervous (I am guessing people who use the other flats had not locked it behind them). The front door did not feel secure enough as there was a big gap down the side despite being locked. The tv didn't work despite numerous tries. On the third day we purchased some new batteries for the remote and then it worked fine.
