Prime Location Penthouse apt with a large terrace

We loved this property and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Budi is a great host and we really appreciated his friendly approach and contact. We booked this property as wanted an outside area and the terrace did not disappoint. Yes you have a building in front of you but you have a view of the mountains, the old town and can see the sea. The location was perfect. In just 3 minutes you reach the water, a supermarket and a nice restaurant with more bars a few minutes further. It's less than 10 minutes walk to the Riva. We loved being able to walk to the beaches and even Kasjuni was within walking distance along the coast path or a short ride on the number 12 bus (bus stop 3 minutes from apartment). Its about a 20 minute walk to the bus station (we took the bus to Trogir one day) and walked to Bacvice beach and further around this part of the coast to Firula. Apartment is near to the Marjan Forest park and the Marjan stairs (great views on the way up and from the top) Practical info: we didn't cook any evening meals as couldn't resist the lovely restaurants in Split but the apartment has absolutely everything you might need for self catering (Konsum supermarket 3 minutes away and other supermarkets in town). From the photos you see that the TV viewing area looks small - it is but has a comfortable sofa and doesn't feel cramped as it looks out onto the large terrace. Kitchen is galley style kitchen, has large fridge freezer, good food storage cupboard if needed and everything needed for cooking. Bedroom is very big, plenty of space for clothes and comfy bed. Didn't use the washing machine but this would be great for longer stays. We arrived in Split at 11.30am and were able to leave our luggage at the apartment which really helped. Lock box makes for easy arrival and departure but if you did need any help Budi is easily contactable.

There was nothing to dislike.

The apartment had everything ! very comfortable bed, and nice comfortable furniture in the lounge area and on the terrace.

No salt for the dishwasher, so had to wash up by hand!!... Lots of stairs to access the apartment, but we were warned about this beforehand

Location in Split is excellent, close to Old Town area & Diocletian Palace & not far from ferry port. Size of apartment & terrace area is great & it is well equipped with all essentials. Excellent communication with host, who was extremely helpful in many ways.

Communal entrance area to property is unkempt/messy but is quickly walked past!

Wonderful location, close to the centre of the Old Town but also very close to the Marjan area where we spent a lot of time walking and swimming. Nice to have the outside terrace to relax on- make sure you are protected against mosquitoes!

The apartment is fantastic, and contains everything you need. And I mean EVERYTHING. Not only the usual barebone two-of-each pieces in the kitchen, but plenty of everything. Even wine-glasses, which is normally seldom seen. And a dish-washer, although we never used it The bedroom is large, and the double-bed was super-comfy. There were also lots of extra blankets and pillows if you ever would need them. A quiet and efficient AC is there in both the bedroom and the kitchen. The bathroom has a strong and good shower, a washing machine, plus a good heater/fan above the door if needed (we never used it). The living-room is pretty small, but very comfortable. But unless the weather is bad you would anyway just spend your time at the terrace, which is fantastic! Yes, there is an ugly concrete building barring the view right in front (see picture), but you still see lots of the city, and the mountains. The host was extremely attentive (using WhatsApp), answering any questions we had within minutes. We also got an early check-in, which was super-nice, as we arrived with the ferry at noon.

The ONLY thing on the negative side was that the bedside tables were kind of broken. If you touched a drawer, the fronts fell off (see picture). Same with both tables. We did mention this to the host, which was already aware of this. It's really just a minor thing, and we never even used the drawers, just a bit strange that these are broken when everything else in the apartment was in mint condition.

Everything was perfect

The property fully met our expectations. The location is excellent and the apartment’s space is brilliantly designed. You have a vey large double bed which holds excellent storage space. The King size bed is very comfortable and there is appreciated,air conditioning in the room. The bathroom fully meets requirements and holds a good powerful shower. There is a small galley style Kitchen which holds an adequate indoor dinning area for two if required. The Kitchen is well equipped having a full range of equipment, cutlery and utensils. There is a small indoor lounge which again is well decorated and fully meets requirements. However the Terrace is a fantastic space with brilliant views overlooking the City and Mountains The terrace is fully equipped even down to having a barbecue area. In summary this is an excellent apartment for a couple. Yes you are on the top landing,with no lift access, but the four flights of stairs are not difficult, if you are reasonably fit. The location and the apartment are excellent and excellent value for money 👏👍.

The entrance to the apartment is a bit of a builders yard. However don’t let this rustic outlook concern you. The quality of the apartment and its great location more than makes up for the entrance area.
