Southcot Place, Apartment With Garden

The owner met us - even though we arrived earlier than planned. Much appreciated! We were able to park directly in front of the apartment. A short, 5-minute walk to the historical center. Also just a short walk to a small grocery/convenience store.

Maybe a heater in the bathroom? It was a little chilly in November.

Self catering. Location is very close to main shopping area.

The property had everything we needed and was beautifully appointed - a real home from home.

No bedside tables which made it difficult to reach for a glass of water during the night.

Location very good and fine for us but possibly not for anyone who finds walking difficult. Up a steep hill from station. Nicely furnished. Nice welcome pack. Comfy beds. Modern bathroom. Lovely garden and beautiful view.

Helen was kind to me and let me enter the property to wait in the lounge while she finished up getting it ready after seeing I was little deflated that she had asked me to wait on the doorstep initially, after travelling the entire width of the country! Nice to meet the host but not sure the guided tour was necessary (cutlery drawer etc) - a welcome folder with all relevant info would suffice I would say. Should probably check there are loo rolls before guests arrive and have to request them, pillows are getting a bit lumpy now, matching sheets in the twin room would definitely make it feel more luxurious, think owner should not need to trouble guests to enter property mid-stay (especially on a Sunday) unless an emergency. And maybe a bluetooth speaker! These points are to make it a 5 star experience for the next guests as you do want to feel treated when spending a lot of money on accommodation.

Amazing

Excellent location, five minutes walk from train station, 10 minutes to Bath Abbey. Very quiet, away from tourist bustle. Very comfortable and well equipped with lots of personal touches so you felt you were staying in a family home not a barebones rental. Washing machine and tumble dryer made the wet weather easier to cope with! Welcome basket left with good coffee, biscuits and fudge. Milk in fridge and condiments in cupboard, lots of places provide neither so we were very happy. Rob met me at the station and drove me to the flat and insisted on taking me back at the end of the stay, I had a broken wrist so this was wonderful. Helen checked up on us and dropped in extra dishwasher tablets. Altogether very welcoming owners and a very good stay. Highly recommend
