5 Rowntree House

The location was perfect. The whole apartment was very clean and in excellent condition. Very comfortable. Nice little welcome pack was a life saver after the journey up, so very much appreciated!

Location was superb, right in the middle of York. The views were unusual, and very good if you looked out and up.

The only thing we lacked was salt and pepper. Even though the kitchen was well equipped, there were no condiments, which was pity, because who would buy salt and pepper when staying somewhere for a few nights?

Location was prime. Everything is in arms reach.

The overall cleanliness let the place down slightly. The pubic hair on the toilet seat. The cutlery wasn't properly cleaned. The bathroom floor was dirty. The fridge needs its draining canal emptying. It wasn't working efficiently. Overall, it was a comfortable space. Nice and quiet, warm and cosy. The shower head is too big for the shower enclosure, but it's something I could live with. Location is prime, with everything in arms reach and the Shambles is quite literally across the road.

The location was PERFECT. Right in the centre (but quiet) opposite The Shambles with an M&S and Co-op very close by.

Location, cleanliness, capacity

Mattress on bed was sunken, windows in lounge made room very cold, shower cubicle far too small and claustrophobic with big shower head for me at 6ft, ooh and only 2 mugs.

It was a spacious, well appointed appartment in a very good location. There is a Marks and Spencer across the road for your groceries and the York food festival was on while we there.

The location in terms of been central to the attractions

The location in terms of been down a little snicket with a few homeless/ drunks around, a very small shower cubicle made it difficult to move whilst showering

Loved the property, the location, the apartment was spacious and beautifully laid out.

The beds were awful, very uncomfortable and we all struggled to sleep on them including my 9 year old, the bath water is Luke warm! Not ok if you are not a fan of cold baths

Great location.

The floor is uneven due to the building being a very old wood structure. It took us some time to adjust the balance. It may be a concern for old people. The apartment is on 2nd floor, no lft.
