The Holgate Snug

Nice and clean, good location

Second double was small, can be quite noisy with other apartment doors slamming and traffic

What an absolute gem the 'Holgate Snug' is Beautifully decorated and furnished, had absolutely everything you'd need for a longer stay, we stayed for two nights, but I'd love to have stayed longer Location is also great, short walk into York City centre (approx 16 mins), will not hesitate to return or recommend

Beautiful apartment. Well decorated. Felt boutique. Really well equipped.

Smell in bathroom wasn’t great. Think it was coming from the mop that was lent against the wall in the bathroom. Don’t really expect this when in boutique accommodation. Also appreciate there was a steamer available but not always ideal, iron would have been more useful

Location Decor

The smell in the bathroom initially. We were advised to run a tap to get rid of it which worked. It did come back though. Check in instructions included info for another property.

Very impressed! Decor is lovely, everything was spotless. Very convenient, central location, but still quiet and peaceful once inside. We really enjoyed our stay.

Noticed it's lacking a full length mirror. It's a girl thing... but I'm not very tall, so it's always a much appreciated bit of kit when getting ready for an event :)

property was lovely. Fabulous beds and shower.

Key safe was really fiddly, low down and the mechanism was difficult to open. The front door lock was also difficult to lock. Outside the door looked unkempt. Quite a bit of noise late at night from the courtyard below.

Great location, 5 minute walk to train station, and 10mins the walk to centre of York. Apartment very clean, comfortable and well appointed with lots of attention to detail.
