Bootham Retreat- Superb City Centre Hideaway-Free Parking

The only thing that was a little untidy was the entrance, could have done with a sweep and a wipe over.

Lovely modern little flat - ideal location to access York Minster and the city centre. Well equipped and clean throughout. Nice touch was the Christmas tree - we went to York for the Christmas market 😄 Private parking was a real bonus 👍

It was not a major problem for us and did not spoil our stay , but general observations - 1. Drainage in bathroom (shore and sink) was really slow ?? 2. WI-FI speed was really poor - but this was the same in many places across the city ??

Cleanliness and infrastructure not what you would expect for this type of property.

Location is perfect for getting around York. Ideal walking distance to everything we wanted to see during our visit. Having a Sainsbury's within a two minute walk, was great to collect any last minute food or drink. Felt very safe walking to and from the property with two young children. Only a 10 minute walk from the train station, and a five minute walk to Brew & Brownie (A must visit).

The flat is looking quite tired. The Bathroom specifically needs freshening up. The flooring throughout the flat is tired and needing sorted/replaced. There are a lot of gaps between the laminate planks. There was a lot of noise with people passing outside and entering the main door to the building. This has been commented on before, although I appreciate there is nothing that can be done about this. None of these things would put me off staying here again.

Bathroom could be cleaned better the grout around the bathroom tiles was really dirty.

Great location, flat was small but fine for our needs, parking space is very small - be aware if you have a large car this might be a problem! Well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, cleaning products provided. Nice and warm with plenty of hot water. Short walk into the centre of York, lots of pubs and restaurants close by and some lovely little shops.

Extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work so very steamy after a shower. Very small parking space right next to a high brick wall, had to get everyone out before parking and our car isn't huge.

Amazing location to spend a weekend exploring York with friends. Clean and well equipped apartment with everything we needed.

My friends and I had a lovely time at this apartment. The location is perfect! Very close to anything the heart desires: a convenience store on the corner, restaurants, bars, the walls, shops, etc. Check in was a breeze and the accommodations were excellent. Good bedroom arrangements, a nice bathroom, clean kitchen, and even a washing machine if you need to do laundry. The staff were responsive when needed. I would stay here again!
