Waterfront @ Ryedale House

The location was very clean, quiet and secure. We felt comfortable and safe in this part of York. Secure parking was a big bonus in addition to the security access the building offered.

The bed could be a bit more comfortable

Location is great, with a lovely view. Secure parking was very handy to have. The furnishings looked nice. The shower was powerful. The building is tidy and we could not hear any noise from other apartments. The welcome hamper was a great box of goodies. The check in info is very comprehensive and the front of house are helpful.

The sofa and bed were not as comfy as one would hope for the cost of the stay. The bed in particular. The WiFi is actually a mobile dongle that ran out of credit on our last evening there and did not work particularly well when it did have credit. There is poor phone signal in the property. It would be hard to do work online here and is not up to modern standards. The bathroom is tiny and it is very hard to shower without spraying water onto the floor. There was a cupboard full of half eaten bags of crisps when we arrived. The mugs were not clean - one had lipstick remnants on the outside of it. There was a large piece of cookie or biscuit on the sofa when we arrived. There's no shampoo or shower gel, which they do mention beforehand, but it would still be nice to have considering our stay was actually slightly more costly than booking the Malmaison in town.

Amazing location, 1 or 2 minute walk to the centre and all Christmas markets etc. Very clean, nice facilities, amazing welcome pack with snacks, teas and coffees.

Everything was great, only small niggles. Very thin curtains in bedroom and no blinds etc so quite a lot of light came in. No live TV either had to use Netflix or BBC iPlayer, couldn't access ITV. Nothing major at all, great stay.

Lovely, clean apartment with a beautiful view down the river Foss. Incredible location at the start of the city centre, with a street food market across the road, which is a must visit. Extremely quiet and peaceful considering the location. The bed was extremely comfy and the room nice and cool to sleep in.

The bathroom unfortunately has no where to put toiletries, a shelf would be extremely useful. The living room could use a blackout curtain to block out the light that comes from the adjacent building, for privacy and to stop the sun, as we were there in the middle of October and it was over 36 degrees in the room. Very small fixes which would make a beautiful apartment amazing.

Great location a few minutes walk from all the main attractions. Very clean apartment. Lovely and quiet and very comfortable. Very modern fixtures and fittings with very charming nitrate decor. Bed lovely and comfortable and the sofa bed was also very comfy in the living room. Huge picture windows make for a great view I’ve the river. We would stay again.

Curtains needed in living space. Especially when the sofa bed is in use. Neighbours can see in to the living area when the lights are on and visa Versa. We could see into the apartment block next door and the light from there shone in all night from the rooms and the stair block. Bathroom could do with a bin and a shelf, as there is no storage. Instructions for the car park and keys could do with tweaking. It made it sound like you can park then go get your room keys and go back and put in your car pass. However you need to park in the road and go get your keys and car park fob, then gain access to the car park. Took us a good 20 minutes to figure everything out and get in. It was dark when we arrived so this made finding where to go and what to do a bit tricky.
