Couldn’t lock front door spoke to owner didn’t seem to believe me that I couldn’t lock door. Wasn’t until the next day when he came and he couldn’t lock door either

You can hear footsteps from the other floor. Better soundproofing would help so it’s less disturbing.

Location to the town was good. Walking distance to everything.

There was no hot water when we arrived and we didn’t have hot water for 24 hours. The building manager / owner (Peter) told me to go to the main electric meters on the external of the building & find the meter (among the many meters) and press the boost button. Pretty unsatisfactory for a paying guest. He also insulted me telling me he needed to speak to my husband as it was complicated to find the meter & press the button. He just assumed I was there with my husband & asked to talk to him. The oven did not work so we could not cook. The knob had been broken from the inside & patched up with sticky tape so it would not turn or pop out. It had scratches all over it where people had tried to pull it out with sharp objects. I called the owner to tell him he came the next day & put a new oven knob in the oven. But made it seem like it was working all along & I was just not understanding how to turn it on. He switched the knobs out pretty quick and turned it on & said “there nothing wrong you use now”. All very strange how that was handled. Just be honest & apologise, but it felt like avoidance as he didn’t want to entertain refunding me for the dinner we had to buy out. The decor was very kitsch. You could not open close the blinds in the lounge as they were very fragile from sun damage & would catch & rip. There was no WiFi, the brochure in the kitchen said put your unit number in and the password provided but there was no option for our apartment number. I was told when Peter visited to just use any door number (why not put that in the brochure). The stay was very noisy, the walls seem very thin & we could hear the family downstairs (kids screaming & running on wooden floors) all the evening.

There was hair still left in the drain of the shower and the toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly
