The Apartment Splendid Marjan was absolutely stunning, and in a great location. It was spotlessly clean and superbly equipped, even with basic groceries (olive oil, vinegar, salt pepper, herbs and spices, multiple varieties of tea, coffee, water, juice and savoury snacks). Our hosts were wonderful. The lovely Elena talked us through a map of the city and showed us the best places to east, sightsee and swim, as well as the best ways to get to them all. The location couldn’t have been better. A 2 minute walk from many restaurants, 5-10 minutes from the centre of the old town, and 25 mins walk from the ferry port and airport transfers. It was also right next to a beautiful forested park where there are hiking trails and secluded beaches. And the views were stunning! I couldn’t recommend it more highly and will be telling my friends and family about it. We’ll definitely stay again next time we’re in Split!

What an amazing place to stay with fantastic views. This was a great find. We was given so much information about the area on arrival by the the owners and communication on our way to the apartment was very good. A lovely 1 bedroom apartment, with a bathroom, lounge area and dining area. There was a couple of seating areas outside to sit out on the terrace. We thought parking was going to be a problem when we got there because of the amount of cars but no we had a space to back the car into where it stayed until we left. We didn’t need to get the car out again. Everything was close by. The apartment was spotless. The kitchen had everything you needed but we didn’t do any cooking while we was there as we had fresh bread with ham and cheese for breakfast and eat out every day. The bed was so comfortable and we stayed when they had really hot weather but with the air con on and the bedroom door open it was just right. On the first might we could see 2 eyes at the patio door which was the dog from down stairs, she came and visited us each night which was lovely and would sit with us for a while. There is also a cat who came to visit but even though the patio door was open they never came inside the apartment. It was so nice to sit out at night looking at the amazing views over Split but it was only a 5 minute walk down into the harbour and town. Even though I have a few walking problems I still made it back up the hill in 10 minutes so if I can do it anyone can and that was after spending the day walking around Split. Make sure you visit the palace, so much history there

There is a very well functioning airconditioning, but it does not reach the bedroom when it is really warm. The owner was so kind to bring us a fan, which helped us sleep at night.

Owners tried to blackmail us, trying to get money for an already broken washing machine in exchange for earphones we had forgotten in the apartment. Air conditioning was not disgusting, leaving black spots on the floor.

Spotlessly clean apartment with an excellent balcony overlooking the town. Elena (the owner’s mother) was really nice and very helpful. Yes, a few steps but this lends to a great view. Parking was great.

Palmina’s (owner) communication was not very good nor very helpful. The mattress overlay was too small for the bed.
