Daniel and his team were super friendly and accomodating, creating a beautiful home away from home environment! The accomodation itself is fantastic, huge compared with others in Hakuba and the Iwatake Mountain was our favourite, so it was a treat to stay there. Would definitely stay again.

There are not many restaurants around so be prepared to uber / taxi or drive to nearby Happo or Wadano for more options. We knew that when booking so it didn’t bother us at all…a small price to pay to stay in snowy paradise ☺️

Kitchen is small Dry room for all the equipment has a strong smell Insufficient hooks in the apartment for winter jackets/ towels etc.

"Amazing accom close to ski fields"

Amazing stay at Iwatake Apartments. Situated less than 20m to a lift at Iwatake Ski Field, it is not only in a great location but has everything you need in an apartment. The staff were also extremely accomodating and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Couldn’t fault it.

"Spacious, well-appointed, and warm. Right on the snow."

Spacious, well-appointed, warm, and comfortable. Host and staff are amazing, with superb comms throughout. Right on the snow, just a few metres to the lift and a short walk/ski to the ticket office/gondola station and gear hire. Iwatake is a nice quiet resort. No real dining options after 4:30pm, so you can self-cater in the apartment or, I recommend, have a car to make the 10 min drive to Hakuba.

Not the best sound-proofing between rooms, so we could hear conversations through the walls, including our neighbour having an almighty chunder in the wee small hours.

"Fantastic"

Great location on IWATAKE snow field, smaller resort. We had amazing snow during a blizzard and appreciated being lower elevation with trees for visibility. Easy to catch shuttle to other 9 ski hills in area. Better to have car as very few restaurants and not enough taxis serving the area. Fantastic helpful staff, took us to get groceries twice during our stay. We loved being able to self cater a bit!

Fireplace or other heat source in lounge would be great. Would be nice to have an outdoor hot tub.
