Ski-in, Ski-out Iwatake Apartments

Fabulous apartment best location owner was excellent made the stay easy with pick ups and supermarket runs nice bar for drinks and lovely staff

Nothing everything was perfect

The apartment was right beside the ski slope and a few steps from the first chair lift in Iwatake. Staff were all super helpful and provided pick up and drop off as well!

Given that there isn’t much (close to none other than those on the ski slopes), would have been great to have simple breakfast options. But of course, we were taken for a grocery run on our first night too.

Great friendly owner and staff - always wanting to assist. Pick up and drop off to the apartments + side trips to the shops were very handy.

Very comfortable and clean in a beautiful location.

The one and only thing we didn’t like was that there weren’t many places nearby to go out to eat.

The location was great. The apartment was very warm and quite spacious. It would be great to have a dishwasher.

The location was good but we didn't get much information on how to "ski in and ski out" and also it took a while to get the wifi password. Also there were a lot of rules.

Beautiful, modern and comfortable apartment. Quiet with beautiful views from our living room. Easy access to chair lift. Pick up and drop up courtesy van service from bus station (thank you!) and supermarket run during our stay.

Everything was above our expectations!

We booked the apartment as a group specifically for ski in, ski out access at hakuba which was excellent. Made getting your rentals and access to the gondola and chair lift a breeze each morning. The apartment is lovely, spacious and comfortable for two couples. We loved the apartment and felt very well looked after. It was also great using the Netflix and being able to screen share to unwind in the evening. We really appreciated the pick up and drop off at the bus terminals and also the team took us to the grocery store twice over our stay which was super appreciated as it was winter. The team were so helpful with local knowledge and opened the onsite bar for new years which was lots of fun. Really enjoyed out stay overall.

We loved our stay. I would suggest just some guest slippers down stairs to pop on to walk around when you take off your snow gear and/or shoes as there is a bit of walking around in socks otherwise which can be a bit cold if you accidentally step in water in the drying room etc but otherwise very comfortable. Iwatake is a small area. so you need to be prepared to cook your own meals or ride the shuttle into town for meals. There are lunch spots on the mountain when your snow boarding/skiing, but otherwise at night there are a lot less options to eat out and taxis/ubers are a challenge at peak season. That is not a criticism of the apartment but something to be aware of.
