The building it was in was very run down mold on the stair case walls and vey cold in the corridors

It felt like home. Very welcoming, had a lovely feel about it and was spacious. For 2 couples it had plenty of space. It had everything you needed.

This apartment is absolutely fantastic! Run... don't walk - to get booked in for a stay! It is spotlessly clean, and has a lovely homely feel. It's airey and bright with stunning views. Well equipped kitchen , comfortable lounge area and the beds were so comfy! Best 2 nights sleep I've had in a long time. Owner was easy to contact and very helpful. We are big walkers so happily walked from the apartment into the town centre and in fact all over Whitby. It's in a quieter part a little way out from the actual centre but this suited us perfectly. Nice touch of some chocolates, biscuits , tea , coffee , sugar and fresh milk which are always welcome after a long journey. We would not hesitate to recommend and would definitely like to return.

There's nothing we didn't like.

location good for Spa and West cliff, with great views on 4th floor and lift access

not able to alter heating as it seemed to be locked into a programme, nice and toasty in lounge though. Dining area a bit chilly as high ceiling

"Apartment lovely, but wouldn't stay again, the lift was enough to give you nightmares."

Location great

The lift was out of order on arrival, had to climb over 90 steps to get to the apartment, the owner of the apartment carried our suitcases but we couldn't go out again until the lift was repaired which was the following day, and then it was very temperamental. The waste disposal shaft was also out of order, had to search the building to find where to deposit our refuse.

Very comfortable stay in a well appointed Lovely big rooms and very bright, great views over the town

The lift was a little temperamental and as the flat is on the fourth floor we did rely on it.
