Beach front penthouse apartment

No stuff came in for cleaning, we were literally on our own the entire time…

Location is great and the views are stunning

Property needs some maintenance. Quite a few things broken (patio furniture, wooden parts deteriorating, aluminium doors and shutter door not open and close properly also requiring maintenance)

The location and ocean views were magnificent. Walking distance to some beaches and restaurants Lovely beaches

When we arrived at the stated check-in of 2 pm, they were still frantically cleaning and replacing the front door lock. We had quite a few issues with the apartment. Things that you would expect to be in place. We sent them a list of issues on arrival, but they didn't tend to some of the most important issues, e,g, 1. The aircon in one bedroom didn't work and still didn't work when we left despite numerous promises to fix it. 2. We only had one remote and keys to access the complex and unit. Upon request, we were informed there was only one. It made it difficult for the family to leave the complex at different times because you couldn't get out the gate 3. There was no gas in neither the kitchen nor the braai outside when we arrived. We had to ask for refills The braai is in a terrible state of rust and age. the inside is sort of ok, but it certainly doesn't want you to use it at first glance. When we first tried it out, the burners didn't work properly and we battled to get the meat cooked. 4. The Balito power went off for 5 days - not the unit's fault, but they can certainly do more in terms of alternate power supplies or just more lamps in the unit. we only had one lamp and a few candles that doesn't really work anymore. (Were grateful for the gas stove top) NB! There is no oven (I misread this in the facilities description) 5. There was no key to the safe. 6. Two of the rooms exiting on the patio did not have keys to lock the doors. it was only the shutters that locked flimsily. The unit is one the 3rd floor but is still easily reachable from outside. 7. The unit is only serviced at R300 a day. We didn't have a problem with cleaning the unit ourselves but would've appreciated access to cleaning materials. 8. We had a terrible flashing light in the bathroom. Couldn't use the light at all.

Everything. The sea waves roaring while I eat or sleep was just amazing. The furniture is beautifully arranged and of good quality. Very refreshing

The fact that you don't meet anyone. There's no sense of home. I believe in the human touch... there's none in this, you get your own keys in a movie like systematic way...which feels like I'm in an escape room. But I must say, it is an interesting system very technological but that can be scary

Beautiful apartment located within easy walking distance to the beach. Comfortable beds, lovely living area. We had a wonderful stay!

The outside bbq was rather past its prime. It also had no gas in the bottle which didn’t help. There is no oven in the kitchen either and no backup inverter if there are power cuts or faults, but the water did stay on during power cuts. The apartment is breezy and beautiful and comfortable but in need of a little attention. Some holes in doors, the shutters have taken some strain so don’t fully open, the front door latch wood is coming off so the door must be closed and locked as just the latch won’t hold it and there is a fantastic outdoor table but the outdoor couch set is not usable as it’s collapsed and totally rusted through. Probably should just be thrown away. None of the above would stop me from staying again, but some would have been good to know prior to staying.
