Funchal Arcadas Apartment by MLV

Excellent location a 5 minute walk to the centre of Funchal and the port area. Right by Blandys Wine cellars and the municipal garden Very comfortable and homely decoration. We had a hire car so the parking was very useful.

The bathroom was spacious and comfortable but there was not enough hot water to use the bath; which had been one reason to choose the apartment

Location was superb and the apartment had everything and was very clean.

Very nice apartment. Excellent location in the city center. Two blocks to a large grocery store. One block from where the Aerobus stops. Next to a beautiful botanical garden. Nice coffee shop at the base of the building.

Clean, functional, close to all the amenities and shopping. Great restaurants all around winetasting and massage.

It was very central. Surrounded by restaurants of various food groups. Short walk to water front and right next to small park. Large shopping centre 600 meters away for supplies.

Weirdly the non human contact. Car parking needs card which was in the room. Had to block street until we retrieved card from room. At checkout the cleaning lady come right on 10 am but we were planning to checkout at 12 as per maximum checkout time. Other than this everything else was perfect.

The property was perfectly located with walking distance to all major things to do in Funchal. It’s across the street from a lovely park with an amphitheater which has market days on Friday. Some amazing restaurants within the block. The apartment building has an awesome terrace on floor 3 for relaxing and amazing views. The 24 hr concierge was very helpful. Building was very secure. The apartment was appropriately equipped for short or long stays. AC worked amazing. A little learning curve on the washer for us Americans.

I have no complaints about the property. I would 100% stay there again and recommend it to friends and family.

Loved the space, the location, the homely feel, the neighbourhood, being able to have doors open for fresh air. Also superb support from management when there was no hot water and assistance with washer instructions. Great restaurant across the road.

A few lights did not work. No working remote for bedroom. Crockery and cutlery less clean than I would have liked.
