Watergate Penthouse - NEW 2 bed luxury apartment in City Centre

Location was good, hosts were friendly & accommodating, made sure we could check in a little early. Nice to have a large fridge, full cooker & microwave. Bedding & towels were clean, good choice of pillows.

The buildings stairwell carpet & walls were dirty not giving a good first impression, top flight of stairs had an awkward turn so not great for a large case especially when you were coming down. Beds & sofa were uncomfortable, back bedroom window did not close properly, walls in bedrooms & living area were marked & needed repainting, bathroom fan, shower grout & silicon were dirty, large cobwebs hanging from the roof in front bedroom & bathroom. Crockery & cutlery were dirty so had to wash before use. Issues with water pressure, hot tap in the kitchen was only a trickle & was either cold or boiling hot, when cold tap was also running all water was cold so could not control the water temperature. Smaller than it looks in the pictures, there would not be enough sofa space for 4 adults. Noisy until late at night when people were leaving the bars & restaurants.

Perfect city centre location.

Perfect location for staying in central chester within walking distance to shops, historic sites, restaurants and bars. Property was tastefully renovated and clean.

Chester is my home town, I knew when I booked this property watergate street is busy however I booked this property for its location. If you need peace and quiet to sleep then choose the back bedroom, the noise from the night life can be heard from the front bedroom.
