Watergate Penthouse - NEW 2 bed luxury apartment in City Centre

location was good for cafes and restaurants

it was very noisy at night which I didn't anticipate. the apartment was cold on arrival. bathroom towel rail didn't come on and lounge and blue bedroom radiator did not warm up the room.

The property was modern and comfortable, not as spacious as the pictures make out though. It was right on the main street meaning it was easy to get home and go out. It was relatively clean and came with everything you could need.

The main issue was the shower, it barely trickled out any water so that needs fixing asap, i felt like i hadn’t had a proper shower in days. The carpets weren’t the cleanest, and it was a bit dusty. And the streets were very loud until around 2am which can be expected given the location. The entrance way was very old fashioned, and smelled very musty and damp. And there’s a lot of stairs for people with a lot of luggage

Good location for exploring Chester. Modern and stylish. There was everything you need for a short stay. Easy to check in

The location also meant it was very noisy at night. Due to the single glazing you could hear all the bar noise until around 2:30am so it was difficult to sleep in the main bedroom. The second bedroom wasn’t noisy but the bed creaked a lot which meant it was hard to sleep. The apartment was clean on the whole, but when we came to use the oven there was a frying pan full of grease left in there. When we opened the dishwasher to load it we found that it was already full of crockery. This shows a lack of attention to detail in the cleaning. The bathroom door did not have a lock and it was hard to slide open.

Loved the location! Perfect access to the centre and very near to the racecourse and car parks! Beds really comfortable. Lots of cookery utensils and spacious for 4 people. Modern cooking facilities and place was beautifully decorated! Easy to arrange check in with clear instructions!

Quite noisy at night time (can’t be helped with being so central!) Bathroom door wouldn’t lock as broken. Shower was either boiling or freezing, 4 people couldn’t maintain a temperature with it. Needs updating. Plug socks right above skirting board making it hard to plug stuff in. Dusty on lightings and panelling behind bed.

Excellent location, spotlessly clean, quality of towels, well appointed.

Stairs were difficult to manage with heavy luggage and needed a good clean. Living area would be a tight fit for four guests. Some noise from local bars on busy nights but did not continue late into the night. No response to messages.

Great location.

It was the town centre near some bars ,so it got rowdy at night,and difficult sleeping.Could do with double glazed windows.
