The flat is spacious and well decorated with excellent facilities. It is in the centre and near lots of lovely cafes and restaurants. The check in/out was smooth. We had a lovely stay. Recommend.

The flat is in a very old building a few floors up with steep stairs which could make taking heavy suitcases up difficult. And we had to be extra careful with senior family members and a toddler but we managed alright.

Based on our experience, the reviews for this apartment are very accurate. The location is excellent, and it's a great value. We very much appreciated the box fans that were provided. It kept the apartment cool and comfortable at night. I also like the layout. The living room is a separate room with a door that closes, and that was nice for our kids to each have a separate space. The host was responsive and helpful, and he gave us excellent directions to find the apartment. We were using this place as a stop on a road trip around Portugal. Had we thought about it more, we would have packed a couple of smaller bags to take up with us and left everything else in the car so that we had a minimal set of bags to carry from the car access point down the pedestrian-only alley and then up several flights of stairs. The parking space provided is in a secure garage, and I would have felt very comfortable leaving most of our luggage in the car.

This is just a word of caution for anyone who has mobility issues-this property is up a few flights of stairs that were no joke. Our athletic teenagers were out of breath after climbing the stairs.

The location was excellent.

The apartment furnishings were old and very tired. Its time to upgrade the furniture.
