"A perfect stay away in historic English countryside."

The location was perfect for me in the beautiful countryside. Down the road from Barlings Abbey and central to all the other areas i wanted to explore in Lincoln with friends who flew in from America. The cottage was lovely, spacious and comfortable. The grounds were also beautiful and I went to visit the chapel next door. The host John was lovely and told me some of the history of the main house and I though it was a lovely touch that his wife had made home made plum loaf which was delicious.

Peaceful and Relaxing Lovely welcome basket including a home baked cake and items in the fridge. Not forgetting fresh eggs from the eponymous hens.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

Everything was as we hoped it would be, good to meet our host when we arrived who made us feel very welcome. Also good to know that the road was closed before arriving and we were able to follow the diversion easily. Great location for us to explore Lincoln and also the local countryside..

Fantastic find. Ideal location for us. We were sadly unable to make it for the first night but John has very accommodating and we had everything we needed when we arrived the following day. Lovely cottage in quiet surroundings. Everything you need for your stay and the hosts are always available if you have questions. Would highly recommend. 👍

The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped and a great location for visiting Lincoln and surrounding area. The hosts, Natasha and John were very generous with their welcome pack and home grown produce. I personally also loved having a bath sheet in the towel pack as normally a bath towel is the largest size you get.

There was nothing to dislike.
