Spacious 3 bedrooms Cottage in Whalley

It’s a good size house in a great location in Whalley. The guy can out straightaway to fix the smoke alarm issue.

On arrival the smoke alarms had all been removed and left in the kitchen. The fridge, cupboards and oven were dirty. Cobwebs. Plastic bag on the floor and an eye mask under the table. One tea towel provided, clean but stained. No toilet roll. Dirty washing up cloths left in the sink. Didn’t look like a cleaner had visited after the last customers. No oven gloves. Stair handrail hanging off the wall. Ground floor shower cubicle fills with water obviously blocked. 2 single mattresses of different thickness on a double bed made it impossible to sleep on. Tv in the front room not connected or tuned in so unwatchable. Uncomfortable furniture and lighting either too bright or too dim.

Location was excellent. 5 Minutes to the High Street and its amenities. Parking was easy despite being on street. Heating worked well and WIFI was good.

The property was `tired` could use a spruce up and better cleaning: There was a leak in the roof in 2 rooms. There were some cobwebs, some cupboards and drawers had not been cleaned, and rubbish under the sofa. The wardrobe in the main bedroom was used as a linen store and it was just thrown in. More cleaning materials such as J cloths and sprays would have enabled us to clean up better. It lacked a few essentials and could also be more homely: There were only 3 forks and not enough glasses. More pillows would be helpful. A few more lamps would be nice in the lounges and bedrooms. The TV in the front room did not work.

I didn't stay there but my workers said it was fine and in the center of the town, they have stayed there for a few weeks,
