Light & Lovely in Canberra's CBD - 1BR Apt w/Carsp

Location, space and cheerful.

Apartment was not ready on time, 40 mins delay and instructions not sent. Staff rectified well and kept us informed.

The apartment was in a convenient location. It was spacious enough.

Well me and my husband didn't really sleep the whole 2 nights. The mattress is an inhumane torture device from the 1700s. On the fridge it asks you not to strip the bed. We had a peak and it's one of those floral mattresses from the 90s. To make it worse there was no top sheet on the bed. You want us to sleep with the unwashed doona directly touching us? My husband found a sheet thank god and put it on the bed. My husbands towel stunk like it had not been washed and there were two coloured marks on it like it had been sprayed with frebreez or an air freshener. We ended up both using my towel. Which we only had one of for the whole two nights stay as you only get 2 towels between two guests. Absolute nightmare to get the key from a lock box another suburb away. God help you if you don't have a car. You only get one key, checking in and out or going anywhere is even harder. They want you to pay extra for an additional key. That's a joke in itself. This place is a cash grab not about providing a nice place to stay. If you do decide to stay, BYO, linen, towels, mattress and grappling hook so if you are both out and the other has the key you can scale the 10 stories to your room. Also you need a second person to check out if you want to get your car out 😂

Collecting the keys at a location 1.7 km from the apartment was a nuisance, there was no parking and the key location was very difficult to find. I will say the hosts were very very lovely and stayed on the phone as they tried to assist me find the location.

Lovely, spacious, clean apartment. Kitchen well stocked with utensils etc. Excellent location for access to everything particularly restaurants, cafes and shops.

Property was all around great!

The key pick up being about 1km was a bit annoying.

The location

The bed is very uncomfortable and the pillows are very poor quality for the price you pay. They should really invest in decent pillows because it seriously affects your rest. We stayed 5 nights and they only provided 3 small garbage bags, which is completely insufficient for that length of stay. Also, having to pick up the key from a location that is 15 minutes away by car without being informed before booking is unacceptable. That information should be clearly stated from the beginning. The cleaning was not good. The bed was not properly made and there wasn’t even a top sheet to cover yourself. The internet is very poor and the TV had almost no brightness, so watching it at night strains your eyes. For the price paid, the overall experience was very disappointing.

The rooms were spacious and really liked the hanging space off the bedroom. The apartment was ideally situated, right in the middle of town. The kitchen was excellent.

We would have liked a table. There were no instructions for the microwave.

Good location , mostly clean

Absolute nightmare to access , only given 1 key , washing machine would not work , not enough towels left us , bed not comfortable , but support person was helpful

Very comfortable apartment in good central location of Canberra. Excellent facilities in kitchen, good size bedroom and open plan kitchen/lounge with sofabed. Good TV with Netflix and Prime. Nice balcony. Excellent WIFI.

Quite a big hassle having to pick up the keys from a building nowhere near the main apartment located where there is limited parking. Once we found the apartment block and worked out how to enter the garage, we eventually found our parking bay but then got into the nearest lift shaft only to find this is NOT the lift you need; you need to walk back down the car ramp and go into the lift on THAT floor, a complete mystery. Also frustrating that there was NO information about where the swimming pool was and/or how to access it and the email response from the hosts was delayed meaning we didn't get to use the pool or gym acrosss our whole weekend stay which was really disappointing.

It was nice and cosy, close to the national convention centre where we had our conference, close to the shops so it minimised the use of our vehicle

The only issue was finding our parking spot, it was quite difficult until we realised that we skipped one of the directions. Other than that we had a great time
