Light & Lovely in Canberra's CBD - 1BR Apt w/Carsp

- The property location was fantastic and perfect for our needs! - Provided carpark was easy to find and close to building entry door - Excellent directions (with photos) for key pick-up and property access - Property manager and maintenance staff worked hard to positively resolve major wifi and other minor issues - Balcony access with cute morning coffee spot & beautiful fresh air was awesome

- Pick up of keys is not at property itself, which might be annoying for anyone staying without car access - AC in main bedroom was quite noisy but fine with earplugs - This property is managed more like an AirBnB, not the 'hotel style' which is standard for booking.com... eg. you have to take out your own rubbish... you are billed by the hour for any extra time you spend outside of the set check-in / check-out times... you only get one set of keys which is a problem when you are not together 100% of the time and have to pay $$ to get another set (which is not a deposit) - Property manager promised via phone call that we would receive a 20% discount "regardless" due to issues we encountered during our stay... no word / sign of refund 7 days after arriving home.

The trickiest part was finding a car park to collect the keys. The instructions and photos were very helpful. Because I had read other comments I made sure to pre load the address for the keys and the address for the apartment into the GPS before we left home. And had the instructions ready for when we arrived to make it easier. It was a lovely apartment, clean, comfortable, it had all the things I was looking for. It even had a small lamp in the bedroom with multiple USB ports which was very useful and unexpected. It had extra pillows, sheets and a blanket. It was right across the road from the shopping centre, nice and central to everything. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if we come to Canberra again.

The only issue we had was minor, but the dinner plates were too large to go in the dishwasher. I managed to squeeze one on the very edge. But if you used them all you would have to wash them by hand. If you pay for an apartment with a dishwasher you expect the plates to fit in the dishwasher. A small lamp in the lounge might be nice as well so at night you didn’t need the entire room lit brightly. Other than that it was perfect.

once you worked out how to collect the property keys and got that sorted, it was all very easy and convenient. The bathroom and furniture and kitchen are all new so that was great. Nice to also have access to a balcony if you need to have some fresh air in the apartment

The only thing I wasn't that impressed with was the bed, bedding and pillows. It was just.. ok. Perhaps I'm just spoilt at home but I have quality bedding and this was a lot more average than I'm used to.

Excellent location once you found it. Quite spacious.

Noisy at night. Very difficult to find lock box or unit. Managers did send link to documents which would have helped but the links do not work from email; need to always send by SMS as well. Email should emphasise the importance of the linked documents - you will not find either place without them. Also reference to 'real estate office' should be reworded - there is no office.
