Armory One-Bedroom Cottage

Built by convicted in 1823, one of the first cottages to be built in Tasmania.This original bridge cottage overlooks the historic Richmond Bridge, located in the village, walking distance from historic sites, cafes and shops. The cottage has a sitting room with a wood fire. Complimentary port and chocolates are provided as well as a bedroom with a queen-sized bed. The window in the bedroom faces the bridge. There is a fully equipped country style kitchen, a 2nd living/dining area, a sofa, flat-screen TV, DVD player, CD player and a laundry with a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The bathroom has a shower over a bath. There are lovely original floorboards in the sitting room, bedroom and kitchen as well as slate tiles in the 2nd living area with underfloor heating. French door lead out onto the garden and courtyard. Please note that guests receive complimentary port and chocolates upon arrival.

Everything, it was amazing. Right in Richmond, wood fire

Very small walkway between bed and wardrobe did not affect us but needed to turn and go sideward from far side of bed past wardrobe

Quaint cottage in a lovely location. Easy walking distance to the centre of town. Woodheater, port and chocolates were added bonuses. Floor heating in bathroom area was also appreciated.

Reversing out of the driveway is a bit tricky, as there is not a lot of visibility to see approaching traffic.

Great location right by Richmond’s famous bridge and close to everything in town. Self contained with oven and washing machine etc.

It needs to have a sensor light where cars are parked and by main access door so you can see where you’re walking in the dark.
