Withnell Stays - Apartment Three

Location was brilliant

Booked for two adults and two children as property states pull out sofa bed but it’s not the same as the one pictured in the listing so not suitable for two children to sleep on

Photographer Is A Magician! I stayed here with my wife and two children and ended up leaving a day early. This property is not habitable, mainly on the basis that it doesn’t have a working shower. When you flick the switch in the hallway the water starts dribbling from the shower head too cold to get into. The sink in the bathroom is blocked and fills up as the tap runs very slowly draining and the floor behind the toilet with the broken seat was covered in urine sticky stains. The mirror is rusty and the shower tray is mouldy. The host knows the shower issues as they have been mentioned in previous reviews. I stupidly thought this would be resolved by now. You can’t keep letting the property out knowing this issue. Also, the property has not been cleaned properly. There was a dark sticky spill on the kitchen drawer fronts that I have had to clean. The cutlery and cups and glasses were filthy. The second tv in the bedroom is missing and the fold out couch is not big enough for one person, let alone two. The rear legs on the couch are loose and buckle in under the weight of a skinny 12 year old girl! The bedding for the sofa and the main bed is dirty ad the pillows are filled with modelling clay, or at least that’s what they feel like. The main double bed is lumpy with every spring able to be felt. The blinds are absolutely rancid and broken and the windows covered in condensation. This leads me onto the smell, the communal hallway stinks of damp and the property itself smells like wet dog. The fact you as for a deposit is a joke. You are providing a sub standard property. We left the property after one night and did not stay the second night and instead we went home early as my kids could not sleep on that sofa again and not showering for two days is not possible. Add to that, I went out to my car Saturday afternoon in the secure and expensive parking of £20 that I paid extra for to have my car safe and secure and found my right rear tyre completely flat.

Clean and tidy and hosts knowledgeable, answered any questions

Sofa bed meant for two but was a single size , and heating didn't come on . Other than this was clean tidy and well presented

The apartment was good value for money and suitable for our short stay.

The toilet seat was broken and the mattress was not very comfortable. It had everything we needed for our short stay.

Lovely comfortable bed. Very clean and near the pleasure beach and velvet coaster. Kitchen was spotless 2 even though we didn't use it.

Unfortunately the pull out bed was a little 2 small for two 12 yr olds.
