Heritage City - The Auld Pottery

Loved the feel of this place. A cute, cosy stay for a couple of nights. Comfortable bed, great shower. Safe area and super easy to get the 35 bus into the city.

Had everything for a coffee machine, but not the coffee pods. We know it’s not expected, but would have been lovely to have (Tesco express is a 5 min walk though, so easy for those staying to fix).

The bathroom is very very small, we had some trouble with the light in the bathroom - it would go off occasionally, which was an issue while in the shower. Additionally the shower door was a bit of a struggle to negotiate

The location is great. Close to the train station and EICC,, where the conference I attended was held. The owner was responsive to complaints and made moves to take action

No sockets work downstairs, meaning one can not even boil water or use the gas. The TV has no channels on it. As a B and B, I expected these to function. Bought food to microwave to eat later, but was disappointed by non functional sockets which makes all the appliances useless. Bathroom didn't drain completely ( not because it was clogged) , as the water initially starts draining only to stop towards the end.

Quirky little cottage almost in the heart of Edinburgh and walking distance to a fabulous pub!
