1, Location is perfect. 2, Easy to contact the host cos he is living in the cabin beside you. 3, Fast WiFi, with Netflix and Disney+, good sound effect 4, lots of parking place 5, close to the nature, lot of place to run or stay in front of the house 6, sunrise just in front of you at the morning, open the door starry night just appear at the night.

1, No Air-con, better stay there in autumn or winter 2, saw a Weber in the pic but actually u can’t do BBQ 3, No privacy during the stay as the host may knock your door at the night 9pm for borrowing a hair dryer 4, No exhaust fan in the toilet 5. How to define “clean”? It’s subjective, for me this property isn’t clean, lots of dust in the mini bar, shelf in the toilet and bed headboard. 6, U will be provided a soap only, so u have to bring your own shampoo and body wash if u need. 7, There are salt and black pepper for u cooking, but please bring your own oil. U can use the stove and microwave but no oven. Not easy to turn the stove on, there are a lighter without gas beside the stove, try your luck see can u use it. 8, furniture and facility are not well maintenance, look old and not similar to the pic

Brett was waiting for us at our arrival and explained all the important things about the property. He was a great host, very helpful providing tips to visit the island. The place was lovely and quiet surrounded by nature. Great value for money.

We had an amazing weekend. So close to Kingscote but felt like we were in the middle of nowhere! Loved waking up to the fresh air and having breakfast watching the birds and Chase with the screen up. The sounds system was great and the projector screen was amazing. The cabin was lovely and made for a self sufficient weekend away while exploring the island. Brett was a generous and welcoming host who took great care of us, nothing was too much trouble and he made sure we had everything we needed. We left feeling relaxed and refreshed. Thanks Brett! We’ll be spreading the word on your lovely little spot.

Scenic views, quiet and great location. We loved our staycation in Kingscote. Brett was a great host who provided a warm cozy retreat with a fire lit each night. The projector TV and surround sound was an awesome addition! Thanks Brett

Bretts unique place is like having a weekend shack but with a comfy bed, shower and kitchen. We stayed on the coldest night of the year so far but there was a heater in each the living area and bedroom, and in the centre ‘entertainment atea’ we had a roaring fire. We watched episodes of The Boys on the big projector screen with surround sound, played darts and there's a bar. Chase (bretts dog) is the sweetest guy and our dog got along well. If you're after a luxury cabin, this isn't it, but its a fun cabin, nest and tidy and we could have our dog stay in the centre area (just not in bedroom which is understandable). Such a cozy place to enjoy Kangaroo Island! We stayed 6 nights with our little dog Ralph. Very close to Kingscote, we found it a great base to explore the island. Brett is a very friendly host, and gave us many ideas of things to see and do. A beautiful property tucked away in the bush, even saw a koala from the deck on day 2! We loved the fireplace and the comfy bed. Chase the site dog was loving and sweet, and made quick friends with our dog. Was a nice relaxing place, to return to after touring the island.
