City Centre Penthouse

The apartment is clean and warm and offers a good layout, with 2 bathrooms. Location is very convenient for the city centre and train station. Additionally there is a small Tesco underneath the block. There’s a carpark should you need it, which is bonus if you arrive by car.

Keys have to be collected and returned to a petrol station approximately 5 -10minutes walk in the opposite direction to the route you would take if on foot. Not so convenient if you have luggage. Probably the main dissatisfaction for me is the inflexible request for photo ID to be mailed across, before travel, but after booking. The only reference I could find before booking is the clause requiring photo ID at check-in, which is an entirely different requirement. In fact, there is no check in at the apartment, only a key collection/drop at the petrol station. There is a concierge, who you may or may not see and isn’t the point of ID check. (the main door is often unlocked). This really needs to be made clear earlier, to give guests the opportunity to filter out if they don’t wish to send information classified as personal details to an unknown recipient in a way that they could, arguably, store it. The owner will only accept ‘Group One’ type if ID, ie passport, driver’s licence etc.

The location is perfect, the accommodation is as described and our stay went without a hitch. Having secured parking included was a bonus and driving in to the property is easy enough. Check-in instructions were clear, collecting the keys was straightforward, as was dropping them off, but make sure they scan your keys back in when you check out so the host gets notified they have been returned. All in all an enjoyable and comfortable stay, will book again!

Parking good, all was good and clean and did what it was meant to I don’t watch tv so can’t assess. loads of towels.

I don’t like the security camera in the hallway, but I understand that people maybe have parties. but it feels intrusive

Be aware that you have to provide a £400 deposit plus ID etc before you get the arrival details. Was shocked to find that you have to collect the keys from a garage forecourt five minutes walk away, which didn’t feel safe in the dark and was a pain after a long journey with luggage. The keys had to be returned to the same garage when we left :( not ideal if you are travelling on your own

Great location

Excellent location. Great to have the parking included. Nice and quiet. The deposit was returned within 24 hours. Easy pick up and drop off for the keys.
