Le Cabanon

The location of the property was top notch, only a minute walk down to the beach. The room was comfortable and quite large, and we enjoyed the outdoor bathroom / shower and the jungle vibes! Romain and all the staff were super friendly, helpful and accomodating and gave great tips on where to eat / drink and visit. We returned from a walk and all our wet clothes had been hung out to dry on a rack by the staff. We were also allowed a late check-out so we could store our bags and shower before moving to our next stop which was greatly appreciated. Hiriketiya is such a beautiful and chill location with so many great restaurants and bars, an absolute must visit during a trip Sri Lanka

Our stay here was magical. Firstly, the rooms themselves are gorgeous. The decor is so tasteful and the beds insanely comfortable. The rooms are made up beautifully by the cleaning team and the attention to detail is very special. We were even given a little gift. The host, Romain, was wonderful. He showed us around, gave us loads of tips and answered all of our annoying questions (sorry for bombarding you Romain) - he couldn’t do enough for us. We should have booked longer - we could have stayed for weeks! Another tip - visit Romain’s girlfriend (Cassandra’s) boutique L’Atelier. You won’t be disappointed!

The accommodation is very quiet, but very close to the beach. The room is very tastefully decorated. The host has a great sense of design. In addition, there was a small kitchen with optimal equipment for longer stays and a large refrigerator. The bed is incredibly comfortable :-)

Le Cabanon is nestled in to the trees and is just a short stroll from one end of the bay, great for checking the surf in the morning. The cleaner, Mahdu, came everyday to clean the room! The suggestions and tips that Romain and Cassandre gave us were very helpful.

The property didn’t come with the breakfast that was advertised on the listing and the garden wasn’t really useable as it was shady, damp and filled with mosquitoes.

Nice host and great location to walk to the surf. Paradise Bay for sure!

Le Cabanon is only a few steps away from the beach. It is very comfortable and Romain and Cassandre will make you feel welcomed immediatey. It rained a lot during our stay and our bathroom was outside, so Romain upgraded us and let us stay at Le Paillot, which is right next to Le Cabanon. The rooms are nicely decorated and Romain and Cassandre will send you the best recommendations for restaurants and things to do around Hiriketiya. I would totally recommend to visit their concept store, where they sell carefully picked Sri Lankan clothing and accessoires and their own clothing brand.

This is an awesome place to stay if you are heading to Hiriketiya. Romain and Cassandre are really nice and super helpful. It's close the beach. The room is really nicely done. We stayed in some 5* hotels, but this was our favourite stay in Sri Lanka.
