How much room we had. Clean. The kitchen had all utensils needed for cooking and a refrigerator. And great location.

The toilet is leaking on the floor against the wall. Owner needs to fix before mold starts building up.

The house is quite close to West station and very close to a bus stop for the 22 bus. All of Interlaken is walkable from here. The house has small traditional balconies and excellent views of the mountains. Access via a keybox was simple and the apartment is only up one flight of stairs. The apartment was serviceable, bright and cheerful, but with no frills.

While 209 Swiss francs per night was certainly cheaper for 2 couples than taking two hotel rooms in Interlaken, the facilities did not measure up to hotel standard or to the standard of cheaper apartments we took in Paris and Padua. In particular, the bathroom was sub-standard with a wooden partition between shower and toilet that allowed water to run out on the floor around the toilet. There was a sense of meanness about what was offered: pillows and bedding at 1970s youth hostel standard; one small towel each for a 4-day stay; one bathmat and one teatowel, which was riddled with holes [see photo below]. There were exactly 4 sets of cutlery, cups and plates, no wine glasses. There was no sense of welcome - just a sign telling us not to leave the kitchen in a mess. The owner is also not a good communicator. i sent several messages via Booking,com and received no reply.

A bit old building but cozy place

It is situated between the two main station of Interlaken . Easy access to train station, stores and restaurants.

The unit is not sound proof can hear noises from outside. It is old and stinks , you can smell the smoke and marijuana from next door.. No elevator . It is not well maintained and the amenities are incomplete. We were having a second thought if the linens were changed nor new.

Our interlekin stay was not pleasant. Here are issues 1. There was no manager on reception desk. After 30 min wait, that person shows up. 2. Room was not ready even though we came around 7pm. 3. Room had so many issues for example no bathroom lock. It was broken. 4. Room main door had chain lock broken. 5. Pillows are so bad and towels are not cleaned .5. Hall way lights only can on from downstairs . Try to reach manager during the day time and no one available. 6. Lot of garbage near stair case . I have pictures if need I can send
