Bowness Bay View

We loved the location of this apartment. You are in the centre of Bowness yet it is quiet enough to sleep.

It is very quiet with parking. The kitchen is well equipped and the host is helpful and nice.

Great location, size and had everything we needed

The apartment was modern, clean and tidy. Well located, close to amenities. Nice lay out with everything we needed for the long weekend break. The owner messaged early to say that the apartment was ready for us which was great as we had just arrived in the area, saved us looking for parking. We were able to unpack and get settled in. Would say over all we had a lovely stay.

The stairs were a bit off-putting. Carrying our luggage up 2 flights was a task in the heat. We managed but the mother in law struggled at times during the stay so would say not recommended for anyone with mobility issues. The tap in the kitchen had very low pressure when running hot water.

Generally a nice little flat. Clean and tidy and has everything you need in the kitchen. Main bedroom large and comfortable. Provided a travel cot and highchair which was super helpful.Location excellent, so close to everything and free parking.

The flat is up four flights of outdoor narrow concrete steps, making it a bit difficult for bringing bags in and we simply had to leave pushchair in the car. We should have read fine details more, but good to highlight there's no WiFi. The sofas in the living space are too small to share and the TV is not decent, so would have been nice in the evening while our child was asleep to sit in the (stunning) bedroom and watch a movie together.

Amazing location! Right in the middle of Bowness, 5 min walk to the lake, 20 mins walk to Windermere. We used it as a base to visit Grasmere (short drive), Ambleside (short drive or boat trip from Bowness) and Buttermere (1 hour drive) too. Lovely apartment, super clean and comfortable. Close to loads of restaurants, shops and cafes but wasn't noisy at all.

There was no WiFi and our phone signal for 4G was rubbish so it was a little hard to plan our days, Google things to do, maps etc. It was nice to unplug for a week, so not a big issue but would've made life a little easier. The apartment got quite warm when the weather was hot (but we were just happy to have good weather to be honest!). Didn't stop us from sleeping but you might want to bring a fan if you're lucky enough to get a really hot week!!
