The Yellow Door Whitstable - Peaceful retreat close to beach

We really enjoyed our stay at The Yellow Door. The space was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like the coffee and wine — a really nice welcome! The location is fantastic — peaceful, yet just a short walk to the beach and town. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway.

Quirky and quiet. Local bus at end of road so easy to travel without using car.

Would have liked the bedding and towels to be softer

What a fabulous find. The property is in a lovely peaceful area with all amenities a short walk away. Big thanks to our hosts for a very comfortable stay and thank you for little touches such as a bottle of wine and breakfast items.We look forward to future stays at the property. Also safe parking and a great walk to the beach.

Everything was fantastic

The location was great, very quiet, parking was no problem at all, just a short walk to the property and breakfast was a pleasant surprise. I had forgotten it was included so to find bread, cereal and juice waiting was great. The addition of a bottle of wine (very nice) was also a surprise.

If I have to be critical the bed could have been closer to the wall but the design of it prevented this. We did use cushions to fill the gap which worked well

Excellent place to stay, a great host with everything we needed for a peaceful weekend! We have already recommended to friends and will be back.

Nothing to dislike

It is the little things that make a stay great - linen tea towels not the cotton rubbish, ample crockery and cutlery and bed linen, quiet spots to read a book and lap up a sunny spring day in a gardeners garden, a generous continental breakfast supplied in glass not plastic. These are the attributes that made the Yellow Door perfect and a whisper quiet location enabling sleep after a long flight from Australia.
