Clean and comfortable easy to get to and great service from alp the owner

The host was very accommodating and helpful before arrival, instructions were clear for check-in and key location. Alp also gave lots of information regarding local facilities, restaurants and shops etc.. Apartment was lovely, clean and really comfortable beds. Bus stop right out the building which takes you to the NEC/ Birmingham international which was a bonus.

Bathroom could do with a little spruce up! This didn't effect our stay in any way though

Kitchen cupboards and utensils were not very clean. Difficult to get bedding for soda bed as was informed it was under the main bed, but the hinge on the bed was broken and it was very difficult to get under the bed without injuring ourselves.

Great location, owners communication was spot on. Very helpful.

Bad smell throughout - dank water. There was in fact standing water in a pot in the laundry room and in a teapot in the kitchen cupboard. No mugs/cups with handles to drink a cup of tea or coffee from. Had to brew a tea in a teapot then pour into the thimble cups. Not clean - someone else’s hair on the bathroom floor and a spider came out from under the bath. TV didn’t work properly with Netflix - had to switch off at the plug and then still didn’t work enough to watch something. Plenty of amenities with hairdryer and iron etc but no shower gel which I didn’t think to bring with me because normally I’d stay in a hotel.

Very clear directions and instructions to pick up the key, plus a contact (and backup contact) number if there was a problem, Apl, the landlord, kept in touch between booking and arrival to make sure everything was ok

The accommodation met all of my requirements and represented excellent value for money and I wouldn't say there was anything I didn't like. The apartment is on the ground floor so access is easy but it is on a bus route so you can hear the traffic outside sometimes but it was never intrusive and didn't prevent an excellent night's sleep
