Windsor Cottage on The Big "W" Ranch

Outstanding property and the views were amazing. The host couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful, I would definitely recommend and I will be going back. A beautiful place with beautiful horses and other animals. My family loved our stay here.

No toilet roll and ur 30 minutes away from closest shop so best hope u can hold it

The cottage was comfortable, spacious, clean and well presented in a fresh, modern style with quirky elements. The kitchen was well equipped with a good range including all the essentials. The setting and views were stunning - and the Alpaca who came to visit was a nice surprise.

I would tone down the ‘rules’. There are arguably less aggressive ways to encourage respectful behaviour than to threaten £200 fines every other sentence!

The location of the property was superb with a lovely view. The room itself had everything you could need and was very tidy and clean. It felt very homely and overall was really enjoyable.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Scenic location within the national park. Easy to find. Plenty of walking nearby (directly from the property). Parking for one vehicle just outside the property. A large, open plan room.

Security lights outside the property kept coming on at odd hours all night, waking us up a few times. Storage space was a bit limited - it could really do with a wardrobe for the bed areas, especially for longer stays. Heating only came on in the afternoon, so at 4:30am the property was pretty cold. It was also cold at lunchtime when we returned from walking. It would be good if holiday makers could adjust the timings to suit them, or if there was a small electric heater available. The property is accessed via a fairly steep path, so this one is unsuitable for wheelchair users. There are other properties available on the site, which would be better (ground floor accessible).
