Maris and Otter

Huge bathroom with both large shower and claw foot bath. Great breakfast cafes very close by.

It was on quite a major road, but did have double glazing.

Location was great. Renovation of rooms was well thought out and looks very good.

Upkeep of the property is sadly very poor as clearly a lot of time and money has been invested.. Bathroom was not cleaned properly.. serious damp problem in bathroom and hallways. I had to go and buy toilet roll as ones in bathroom were wet and mouldy. All soap dispensers empty and dirty… Bed was quite uncomfortable… too hard for me anyway. Very unsafe looking bed side lamp wiring which I unplugged.

The pillows were plastic.

Perfect location for visiting my daughter in Brighton. Close to the seafront with lots of bars and restaurants on the street. The pub itself was warm and friendly. Loved all the deco. We will definitely be going back to stay. The room we had was great with comfy bed and amazing shower and bath. All the amenities you would need in the room with excellent bathroom supplies. 😁😁

Great location and a lovely apartment for a couple. Great bathroom and comfy bed.

I really liked the warm welcome from the hosts, the pub downstairs and the location. The tradepost is a fantastic coffeeshop two doors away and ik you are really in for a treat look up the Lobster and Lion pub. Amazing food! The Maris and Otter pub has lot of activities (Wednesday pub quiz) and great Harveys beer on the tap.

There where a couple of disappointments throughout my stay. The water of the toilet kept running and was leaking. One time there was no water. Luckily I had a bottle of water for after brushing my teeth. The bed was a little bit hard, but that can be personal.
