Beautiful Georgian property, comfortable and airy with great facilities. The owners were welcoming and really helpful and surprised us with some welcome items. We will definitely stay again :)

We had a wonderful stay at Pier View in Southend-on-Sea. The apartment was beautifully presented and extremely well equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect,just a few minutes walk from all the main attractions, yet peaceful with stunning views. What really made our stay exceptional was the owner’s kindness and responsiveness. After our grandson became unwell during the night, we were immediately provided with fresh bedding and towels, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend and would definitely return.

The apartment was spacious, had a wonderful view of the Thames and, not ironically, of Southend Pier, was comfortable, and looked amazing. The location was perfect. We had easy access to the central attractions for Southend and so many places to eat. There was also easy access to shopping in the opposite direction. Ed and Meg were wonderful hosts. Ed was very quick to respond to queries. The coffee and tea service were well stocked.

Good location, not busy, so quiet. Ed the host was great. Friendly and very helpful. The apartment was very well equipped with a welcome pack. Communication before arrival was excellent and we were well looked after during our stay.

We couldn't find out about turning the heating on (we could have asked) and we thought that the property had an oven as was stated on their website, not a problem as we managed with the microwave and hob. The exterior of the building / garden area could do with a makeover / TLC, but maybe as it was early season this is planned.

We recently stayed at this apartment and found it exceptional. It was really well equipped with everything you could possibly need, including snacks, milk, tea coffees etc. It's location is perfect and has wonderful views across the sea and the local pier and in a nice quiet area as well. The apartment consisted of a large bedroom with a super king size bed, separate kitchen and lounge area plus toilet and shower together with TVs in both rooms. Ed, the owner was very helpful and obliging and was there for any assistance you made need. The apartment was also spotless. Parking is available. Will definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at this place! The hosts were absolutely lovely — they welcomed us warmly and even helped carry our luggage. A very nice touch was the complimentary snacks, which made us feel truly cared for. The room was spotlessly clean, with a stunning view from the window. The location is perfect — just a short walk from the center, yet quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended!

Everything was lovely. A great room with really nice extras like snacks for our baby. We will definitely be back.

Ed and his partner are exceptional. It's a pleasure to work with them regarding any matter, making our stay unforgettable. They always took care of my partner and I. Everything was perfect!
