Good communication with Host and house was in good condition with everything working as expected. Everything went to plan except the weather 😒 😆

The property itself is good and comfortable

On arrival found one of the two showers not working which was shared between 11 people. Host was not replying to any of the messages regarding the shower and slow to respond regarding deposit return until chased by customer services.

the location of the property was exactly where we needed it to be. Close to the Freeman Hospital so that our family were able to attend and go and visit their very sick sister.

The family were unaware that they needed to call for the keys to be delivered or for a code for the locked box as this property was booked through a charity for them, the lock box was not working so someone attended to give them a hand. They were then made to pay a £250 security deposit which they did. On departure they were unaware that they had to leave at 10 so were delayed. They accept the £50 late charge. However they were unable to use the lock box again and had to call the company. They were told to leave the keys in the letter box which they did. The £250 was then kept on the basis of a broken key box which was not their fault. Also £250 is extremely excessive as a replacement charge for this. The family have a very sick child in hospital and do not have this money to spare. The landlord has been unresponsive to emails and texts from the family to address the issues. This is terrible service for a family in an awful situation.

House and location was great - shame the owners put a dampener on the experience.

The owners of this property are an absolute joke. Took a month and a week of hounding them constantly to get my deposit back (which I was told early on that I would be getting as the house was left in good condition). I had to get booking.com involved to give them a deadline of payment as it is very clear they wouldn’t have paid it if not. Absolute joke which is a shame as the house itself was great.

location 5 minutes to city centre

The host did not allow us access on arrival after several phone calls. We paid an extra £50 fee for early check which did not happen. We were waiting out in the rain for an hour before the cleaner greeted us at the door from inside when we got in the cleaner said the property was not ready as he had no suppies to clean with so apartment was not ready. No beds were made and there was no sheets to even make the beds with the house was unclean. Tried to contact host no reply for hours. Was forced to contact booking.com as the bed were unusable. There was no clean towels or toilet roll. Finally got a phone call from host to ask us to move to temporary property whilst the cleaners came in. Once the cleaners came and made the beds (no other cleaning was carried out) we had to buy our own towels which was costly as we were a group of 12. After the beds were made we tried to make the most of the property as it was a good property just unclean and clearly not ready for our use.
