Oakstays City Centre Gem

The location was great and the size of the property.

Unfortunately the bathroom floor to the property had some issues. None of the group felt comfortable walking on it because it was uneven and felt like it would fall through. Floor boards had gaps. Food marks on door frames and walls. Dirt marks on the head boards of beds. Rotten egg smell everytime the shower was used and we travelled with someone with a disability and the steps up to the apartment were a bit too much for her.

Stayed Friday-Sunday. Toilet blocked in apartment, reported on Saturday at 10.40am, was not fixed between then and the Sunday. Customer service stopped replying to messages asking for when this would be fixed. This was not resolved and only £50 offered as a refund for not being able to use the apartment for 24 hours (we paid over £400). Admin stated maintenence came out but nobody was in (as we couldn't use the toilet) - no message recieved to say they were sending maintenance despite sending several messages to ask for updates. Booking.com unable to help get money back. Would 100% not recommend.

Shower too hot. Couldn’t turn the temperature down

Good location. Heaters were good to have with it being cold.

It stated that things like a dining table came with the booking? And also things like toiletries and shampoo, these weren't actually there. So that's false advertising. The plumbing started to smell like sewage after using the shower for 5 minutes? The bathroom floor has holes in it. The photo from the booking clearly has pieces of furniture missing for some wierd reason, like said dining table and chairs, the rug was missing, the couch was a different couch. The TV also was pointless in the end, with the only thing being netflix, and the netflix account was locked out eventually. 😂😂😂

The location was BRILLIANT for central Newcastle. Really easy to get to if getting dropped off, but parking would be expensive if you are driving.

There were crisp crumbs on the floor when we first arrived so it seemed like it hadn’t been hoovered through. Otherwise it was just what we needed for a girls weekend in Newcastle.

The property was freezing… The entrance to the building is very hard to find and felt unsafe. The sofa bed it’s really uncomfortable and we could hear everything from outside, didn’t sleep at all
