Casa Vacanze Funicolare

Paola is the best host you can think of. Super-accommodating, nails the hospitality. The apartment is located in the best spot in Citta Alta and it being close to the Bugan Coffee Lab makes it even better. The breakfast items that were provided were delicious, the apartment spacious and very clean and comfortable.

Building smells and is dirty. Very little light in apt Loft bed too small for 2 people so one of us slept on the sofabed which was from 1940. Climbing to the main bed located in the loft was so dangerous, we suggest taking out life insurance before making the trekk. We paid for a week. But left for another option after 2 nights. Don’t bother.

Great location just near the arrival of the funicular, basically in the center and close to everything. Two level apartment, everything needed. Great breakfast left in the refrigerator/kitchen - more than enough.

Safe gates for the steps for small children would be a good add, but we had managed with our 2-years old just fine.

Paola was a very friendly, helpful and organised host. She informed us of parking possibilities well in advance and met us at the garage. The apartment is as central as you can get in the Citta Alta. We used the apartment only for sleeping, there’s a nice bar downstairs for breakfast coffee and evening drinks, every sight is within walking distance.

The apartment was pretty OK for a family of four for 2 nights. It’s on the third floor and there’s no lift and there are stairs within the apartment, this was perfectly okay for us, but it might be difficult for less sporty people …

Bergamo is amazing and the apartment was brilliant! The split level was great for the family. Breakfast and other food/drinks in the fridge were really helpful. Thank you.
