Casa Vacanze Funicolare

Paola met us at the rail station and took us to the apartment for a small fee, well worth it. The apartment was on the third floor with no lift, could be a problem for some people but we managed fine. Ideally situated opposite the funicular station in the Citta Alta so easy to find bars and restaurants within easy walking distance and a small supermarket almost next door!! Italian trains are brilliant so you can easily visit either leg of Lake Como very cheaply or Milan for some serious shopping. The apartment had everything you need for a comfortable stay and a well equipped kitchen if you want to self cater. Paola was fantastic throughout our 5 night stay and took us to the airport for our early return flight, again well worth the cost. Highly recommended.

Nothing apart from the rainy weather!!

Large flat at the top of an old building with views of the old city. Comfortable bed. An abundance of breakfast food provided. Great value! Central location near the top of the funicular but very quiet. Our host was extremely kind and generous. she even offered us an early morning ride to the airport!

We loved it, but be prepared to carry your bags up the stairs. The price of a scenic old building!

Beautiful appartment in the heart of the citta alta. Very clean and comfortable. View over the old coble stone roads and over the lower city. Very friendly host. Generous assortment of foods for a typically Italian breakfast

Can feel a little dark. 3rd floor should not be underestimated with luggage

Lovely space, great location, clean, spacious. Great assistance with car parking - every one seemed to know Paola, the host. Obviously entrenched in the local community. Great - Will be back.

Check out at 10am was quite early. Could do with some USB adapters or sockets, for phones and laptop charging

there is cigarette smell even they tried to make it clean as much as possible. the sofa bed is not confortble for sleeping. in general, the apartment is good rather for a couple, but not family with kids.

Location was perfect, breakfast items were more than adequate.
